Caramel shortbread

Ingredients

500 g flour
½ tsp baking powder
3 tbsp powdered sugar
300 g cold butter
2 egg yolks
3 tbsp 18% cream
caramel flavored Parisian filling

Preparation

Pour the flour, sugar and baking powder into a bowl, stir and add the diced cold butter. Knead the dough into a crumble. Add egg yolks and cream, knead and refrigerate for at least an hour.

Roll out the dough, cut out circles (approx. 6 cm diameter). Cut out the shape of your choice (stars, hearts) from half of the dough using a cookie cutter.

Put everything on a baking tray (round and cut out shapes, circles with holes in the shape of your choice). Bake at 180°C for about 12-15 minutes, until lightly golden brown. Spread the cooled biscuits with the caramel flavored Parisian filling and fold over.
